以前から雪の降る前に1度岩手の紅葉&温泉！と思ってはいたもののなかなか・・・。
まだ紅葉は間に合う？行くぞ！と決めたのが1週間前でした。
岩手県と言うと、もうかれこれ20年前位の毎週末スキーに出掛けていた頃にスキーで訪れた銀世界の岩手県しか知らないので、はじめて訪れたようなものです。
この日、お天気予報は「曇りのち雨。」
何とかこのお天気もって欲しい！と願いつつ、東北道をひたすら走る事約5時間。
まずは岩手県の南玄関口、一関市西、磐井川上流にある国の名勝・天然記念物にも指定されている「厳美渓」へ。
到着して間もなくパラパラと小雨が降り始めましたが、紅葉もピークは過ぎたものの何とかギリギリOK！言う感じ。滝と瀬、淵が入り組んだ迫力のある岩肌とエメラルドグリーンの磐井川の水がとってもキレイ♪。本当に早起きした甲斐がありました！
約2km程の遊歩道を紅葉を楽しみながら歩き、釣橋を渡って川向かいの国道に出てぐるっと1周しよう！と釣橋を渡りかけた頃、何やら民謡らしき音楽が聞こえて来る。
到着した際には川の流れる音以外何も聞こえなかったのに・・・。静かなままで十分なのに・・・と思いつつ国道に上がると、目の前をカメラ片手に走る人人人！
「何？何？何？」と皆さんが走り去る方向に目を向けると、なんとお嫁入りの行列！
お嫁さんの後ろにはやはり馬に揺られる着物姿の花嫁のお母様、前後には親族の方々が列となりお祝いの歌と共に進んで行く。
民謡らしき音楽はこのためだったのか！観光イベントなどではない正真正銘のこの地域ならではの昔ながらのお輿入れの行列で、思わず私もカメラを手に走る♪
時折小雨がパラつくお天気ではあるものの、深紅の傘がいっそう目に鮮やかに映り、着物姿で馬に揺られてそろりそろりと進む美しい花嫁さんの姿は、しばし「ほ～ぅ♪」と惚れ惚れして見入ってしまう感動ものでした。
行列を後にし、駐車場に向かって歩いていると「どうぞ是非祝い酒を1杯♪」と一升瓶とおちょこの入った籠を手にした着物姿の女性が2人声をかけてくださる。
よく見ると「祝い酒」と言うラベルの一升瓶。
何と沿道に集まった人々にお祝のお酒を振舞う係の女性だった。
私もこのお目出たい日のお祝いのお酒をいただきました！（これまた初めての貴重な体験でした）
自然の美しさに感動し、思いがけず昔ながらのこの地域のお輿入の様子も目にする事も出来きた「厳美渓」でした。
