レッスン時や日常の食事の際にも使用している「セラドン焼き」器の数々。いつもだいたいBTSアソーク駅近く、ラチャダピーセーク通り沿いにある「THAI CELADON」で購入している。
タイの陶磁器を代表する青磁のセラドン焼き、13世紀頃スコータイ時代にランカムヘン王が中国から陶工を招き作られたのが始まりと伝えられており、タイ北部の都市チェンマイにはセラドン焼きの工房がいくつもある。
セラドン焼きの美しい翡翠色はチェンマイの鉄分を多く含んだ粘土と自然の木灰の釉薬に含まれる鉄分によって生み出され、窯から出した後、還元され細かな貫入が入るのも特徴。
現在は鉱物成分を加えることでブルーなどの色を出すことも出来るように成り、深いブルー色のセラドン焼きも揃っている。
「THAI CELADON」もチェンマイに工房を持ち、１つ１つすべてハンドメイド♪すべてシリアルNo．がしっかり付いている。訪れた際に欲しい食器の数が揃わなかったり、無かったりしてもオーダーして帰れば出来次第まとめて送ってくれる。
いつもだいたい配送の書類を書き終えた頃、一人のおじちゃんが店の奥から出てくる。このおじちゃんが 計量専門のおじちゃん。なんと有る程度の食器をまとめて持ち上げてはしばしウムウム・・・。
「はい、全部でだいたい＊＊バーツ！」
おじちゃんの感で送料が決まり、 量りなど使わない（笑）。毎回このスタイルである。
現在様々なデザインのセラドン焼きが出てきている中、こちらは昔ながらの伝統的なスタイル。何とも言えない優しい柔らかなデザイン。
昔ながらの伝統的な工法のセラドン焼きなので非常に丈夫！でも重さもかなりあるのだが・・・、直接自宅（日本）に送ってくれるし保証もバッチリなので◎！
この度も船便にて届いたセラドン焼き。
段ボールを開けるとほんのわずかの隙間も無い位パンパンにシュレッダーにかけられた細切れ新聞紙が詰まって届く。いつもながら本当にしっかりとしたコンポー。 今まで何度も船便で送っているが、1度も「あ～ショック！割れてしまっている・・・。」な～んて事は1度も無い！
この細切れ新聞紙、最後の方になるともう笑ってしまう位想像以上にすんごい量！で、 段ボールからこれでもかこれでもかと出てくる。 この度も、この1箱の段ボールから45Lの燃えるゴミ袋5袋分の細切れ新聞紙が出た。
器の1つ1つがけっこう重いというのが難点（首の椎間板ヘルニアを病んだ際にはこの重さが非常に辛かった・・・）ではあるが、食洗器でガンガン洗っても、電子レンジでチンもまったく問題無し！非常に丈夫！又この上品な鶯色のシンプルなデザインは何のお料理にも対応できるので、気が付けば日常の食事の際もほとんどセラドン焼きの器で過ごしている。
