帰国が近くなると無性に食べたくなるのが「ら～めん」。それも昔ながらの「醤油ら~めん」が食べたくなる。現在のバンコクは九州、山形、仙台ラーメンetc・・・けっこういろいろなラーメンをいただけるようになっており、年々ら～めん専門店の数も増加していると感じる。
1983年父がバンコク駐在になった為、私も初めてタイ王国を訪れる事となった。その時に「日本のら～めん」を食したが「らあめん亭」であった。（当時は「らあめん亭」位しか日本のら～めんを食する事が出来る所はなかったと思う）以来26年、バンコク滞在中必ず１度は足を運ぶ。
当時（初代）の日本人オーナーのこだわりの「らあめん亭」の味は「昔懐かしい日本の町のら~めん屋さん」に通じる味であり、又そんな懐かしい味を「タイで食する事が出来る！＝感激！＝美味しい！すんごいボリューム！」と言うその時の記憶が今も頭にしっかりインプットされている事もあり、様々な「日本のら～めん」の味をバンコクでも味わう事が出来るようになっても結局やっぱり最後は「らあめん亭！」となり、食すると「そろそろ帰国だなぁ・・・。」と頭が帰国モードになってくるのである。
当時のオーナーが日本に帰国してしまってもう何年になるであろうか・・・、オーナーは変わっても「らあめん亭」の味は今も変わらず当時の味を守り続けている。厨房・フロアーもすべてタイ人スタッフと言うのも制服も昔しと変わらずである。
今やタイ人の姿も多く見られる「ら～めん亭」であるが、以前は店内に置いてあるマンガや新聞、雑誌片手に一人黙々とら~めんを食する日本人サラリーマンと日本人駐在家族の姿しか無かった。ここ１０年位か？タイ人のサラリーマンやOLの姿を目にする事が年々多くなり、ほとんど店内はタイ人のお客さん！と言う時もあったりとタイ人の方々にも「日本のら～めん」人気は↑だ。
私がこちらでよくいただくのは「正油ら～めん（150バーツ ￥420‐）&餃子」、次に「モヤシラーメン」
こちらのメニューはどれもこれも昔からボリューム満点！！！メニューも豊富！
（私の思い違い？私の食欲が↑？どうも今年？に入って麺の量がちょっと減ったようにも・・・）
これからも変わらぬ味とボリュームでずっ～と頑張ってほしい！と思う。
