夕方から夜にかけて１夜限り甘くてとても良い香りを放つ「カ・ダンガー」。
バンコク市内を歩いているとけっこうあちらこちらで見かける事ができる。
花びらは光沢があるツルツルとしたバナナの皮のような感じで、花びらがしっかりしていて厚みがある。
写真左のようなパステルグリーンの時はまだ香りはまったくしない。
花びらが（写真左）のように黄色くなると夕方から何とも言えない甘くて良い香りが香ってくる。
ただ、この花がまさに今日香る！って言う日の微妙な黄色が私には解らないので、今日こそは？！と垣根の前を通る度にクンクンと嗅いでみる。
クンクンしているうちにふと実家で昔、月下の美人が咲くのを今か今かと待っていた時の事を思い出した。
