この時期バンコクのあちらこちらで見かける薄いピンク色の花をつけた街路樹「チョンプー・パンティップ」
パッと見、日本の桜のような感じなので「タイの桜」とも呼ばれています。
遠目で見ると桜っぽいですが、花そのものは桜よりはるかに大粒。なので風吹かれて花が散る様は「桜吹雪のよう・・・」とはいきませんが・・・。
年明けから日頃の運動不足と寒さで血の循環が更に悪くなってるからでしょうか・・・、首と肩がコチコチで又ちょっと首に危険信号が出ておりPCに向うが辛く控えておりました。
日本との気温差20度以上のBKKに来てしばらくすると、首と肩のコチコチがほぐれてきて首の動きが滑らかになり、首を横に向ける角度が広がるのが解ります（笑）。

タベブイアはその花の美しさから、パラグアイ、ブラジル、ベネズエラ、トリニダード・トバゴ、エルサルバドルの国花または国木に制定されています。
