毎年10月の第２日曜日の市川祭りの日に合わせて「hand-in-handちば」」―滞日外国人と手をつなぐ千葉の会―と言う日本に住む外国人をサポートするボランティアグループのバザーが行われており、母がhandのスタッフと言う事もあって何時からか私もバザーの時だけですがお手伝いしています。
最初は値段付けとか荷物び、開場設定など手伝っていた私も数年前からグリーンカレーとガパオご飯などのタイ料理をバザーで出させていただいておりました。しかし、今年のバザーはテーマが「エコバザー」と言う事で、販売するのにプラスティックの容器などetc・・・を必要とするタイ料理は無し！と決まり今年はタイ製品販売のお手伝いとなりました。
このバザー、スタッフの方の中に元有名ホテルのパティシエだった方もいらっしゃり、その方のスイーツも販売！その他お惣菜、タイ製品、日用雑貨、食料品etc・・・などが並んでいます。
プロのスイーツを目当てにいらっしゃる方やタイ製品も人気で、けっこう毎年このバザーを楽しみにしていただいている常連の方も多く、また市川祭りの開催日と言う事もあり開場を待つ行列が出来る位けっこう人気のバザーになっていて毎年多くの方に足を運んでいただいております。
handのバザーでは、これからクリスマスを迎える事もありタイ製品もクリスマス関連グッズを多く揃えるようにしています。
今年1番人気で開園と同時に仕入れてきた8個がすぐに売れてしまったのがこのハンドメイドのコットン生地で作られたクリスマスツリー。今年も大人気でした。
タイ製品は、以前ブログで紹介したコットンハンドメイドショップ「JANUARY」の商品（写真左奥）、タイ山岳民族のハンドメイド製品、タイシルクのストールやタイシルク製品、タイハンドメイドの雑貨etc・・・。
写真中央はリス族（タイ山岳民族）の子供達が刺繍し、オーナメントに仕上げた物。60個あったのですがこれもあっと言う間に完売。
今年は市川祭りは無いし連休でしかも良い天気！だったので、はたしてどの位会場に足を運んでくださる方がいらっしゃるのか心配・・・だったのですが、今年も例年よりは少ないもののオープン前から開場を待つ行列もでき11時45分の開場～約2時間ちょっとでほぼ完売となりました。

＜具体的な活動内容＞日本で暮らす外国人の結婚や離婚、ドメスティックバイオレンス等の相談、日本で生れた子供の国籍取得のサポート、学校と家庭の連絡サポート、刑事事件の裁判支援、オーバーステイの為入国管理局に身柄を拘束された人の支援、部屋探し、職場での賃金や事故対応、各機関への提出書類の翻訳等・・・。活動は広範囲に渡る。
その他千葉市中央区の事務所にて週2日（月曜と木曜の12時～17時）電話での相談を行っている。
