この夏のバンコク滞在中も里子のBOY（あだ名）と面会してきました。
里子に会うには予め財団に里子と面会希望を伝えておき、財団のスタッフの方々が里子に連絡を取ってくださり日程を調整し、バンコク市内のクロントゥーイにあるドゥワン・プラティープ財団の事務所で面会する事になります。
彼の母親（と言っても私より若い！）にも何度か会った事があるのですが、もともと喘息に糖尿病他、体が弱くほとんど働く事のできない状態です。病院には毎回ボーイが付き添い、学校から帰れば生活費を稼ぐ為アルバイトの日々。家の事、母親の事、学業とボーイは日々頑張っています。
なかなか勉強をする事も困難な状況にもかかわらず、学校の成績も平均以上の成績を保ち続けてきており、財団のスタッフの方々にも「彼はホントに親孝行息子で頑張り屋！」と皆さんにもとても可愛がられている彼なのです。
しかし、今年の春に「実はボーイの母が入院した。退院後も一人で寝起きも出来ず全く動けない状態が続いている･･･。」と財団から連絡をいただき、「ボーイはもしかしたらもう学校を続ける事は無理と言われ、ボーイの里親もこれでおしまいになるかもしれない･･･。」と少々覚悟を決めてバンコクへ出発しました。
毎度の事ながら、ちょっとテレながら笑顔で「サワッディー カップ」と挨拶する彼も、さすがに顔に疲労感が感じられました。
面会後タクシー待ちをしていると、杖をつきボーイに支えられながらゆっくりゆっくり歩いて彼の母親が会いに来てくれました。一人ではまだ立っている事が出来ない状況なのに・・・。
別れ際、財団のスタッフから「実は母親が退院して寝たきりの状態だった頃、流石にボーイも学校をやめようと考えていました。」と伺いました。
私は、ただただボーイの健康（心身共に）と、1日も早く彼の母親が回復するよう祈る事しかできません・・・。
別れ際、もう充分頑張っている彼に「頑張ってね」と言う言葉はかけられず、「バイクに乗るときは気をつけてね！疲れていると注意力散漫になって危ないからね！」としか言えず、後はギュっとハグして心の中で「頑張れボーイ！」と言って帰ってきました。
This blog appears to recieve a good ammount of visitors. How do you advertise it? It gives a nice unique twist on things. I guess having something useful or substantial to post about is the most important thing.
Nice stuff from you, man. Ive read your stuff earlier than and youre simply too awesome. I love what youve received here, love what youre saying and the way you say it.
