訪れる度に街の様子が変わりますます便利になっているバンコク。
マンション、ホテル、オフィスビル、大型ショッピングセンターetc・・・高層ビルが次々と建設されていく中、たまたま家のマンションからスクンビット通りまでの方角は低層マンションと戸建住宅、公園と高い建物が建設されなかった為、風通しと見晴らしは何とか保たれている。バンコクに滞在中は六本木のど真ん中で生活しているような感覚なので、BTS（スカイとレイン）の走る姿やスクンビット通りの様子を部屋からボーっと眺めているのもけっこうホッとして楽しくもある。
この時期、ほとんど毎日1回は雷とスコールがある日が多く、ここから時折みごとな稲妻が見えたりするのでスコールの間もけっこう退屈せずに眺めている。
