スクンビットSoi８にある1軒屋のタイ料理店「Kinaaree」。
soi8は屋台も沢山出るし、美味しいインド料理店を始め飲食店、マッサージ店、サービスアパートメント他が並ぶどちらかと言うと賑やかな通り。以前は確かここは中東のお料理を出すレストランだったはず・・・。タイ料理店に変わっていたので早速ランチをいただいてみることに！
門を入ると写真（左）のKinaareeの外灯が左右に並んだお庭を通り店内入口へ。
お庭にはバーコーナー、テラス席もあり想像していたよりも広い。
店内もタイの調度品やタイスタイルにアレンジメントされたお花が飾られ落ち着いた雰囲気。 そんなに肩肘はらず、タイの雰囲気を味わえるのでお客様がいらした時などにも気軽にご案内できるお店。
店名「kinaaree」と名前のついたオリジナルカクテルがあったので早速注文。鳥の姿となったまるまる1本使いのバナナが飾られたカクテルが出てきた。
実はこのカクテル、グラスの左側から伸びているのグリーンのストローがなんと１m位あるロングストロー（笑）。お料理１品と同じ位のお値段（250バーツ）がするのでどんな物が出てくるかと思ったらハハハッ・・・。

バナナの花房のヤムはチリインオイルベースのドレッシングで、ローストココナツなどと一緒にヤムされている。見た目はヤムタックライに似ている。
この日は他にホーモックタレー（260バーツ）他3品オーダーしてみました。
お味はタイ料理が初めての方でも安心していただける味付け。タイ料理好きには物足りなさもありますが、この雰囲気とお値段お味なら総合的に○。
家に帰って窓の外からsoi８を覗いてみると（家はSoi10）、窓から「kinaａree」のお庭が見えるそんな距離でした。しかし、soi12にあるC＆Cへ行くのもそう！とにかく見える距離にあっても通り抜け出来る道が無いバンコクのSoi！いったんスクンビット通りに出てから行かなくてはならない・・・。ちょうど家を出てスクンビット通り歩きsoi8へ入らなくては「kinaaree」にたどり着けない。ちょうどコの字型に位置する。
「目と鼻の先の距離なのにちょっと歩く、車に乗る程では無い・・・」と言うなんとも悔しい中途半端な距離。暑い日中などはこの距離がけっこう面倒になってしまうんです。
今年8月のバンコクの際、ここには夜に行ってみようと思います。
