気がつけば20数年タイ通いをしているにもかかわらず、「ずっと形に残る思い出の品」があまり無い私。
「そうだ、画を買おう！」と、ここ数年バンコクに行く度に画廊を見つけては覗いていました。
一目見た瞬間からこの画に惹かれ、この画と出会ってからもあちこち観て周ったものの、この画が気になり最終的に又この画が置いてある画廊に戻り決めました。
額に入れるとかなり重たく、持って帰るのは大変・・・、中の画だけを買って帰り、日本に帰ってから額縁屋さんへ行き、額を選び、このように納まりました。
一見、普通の白い厚い紙の上に画が書かれているように見えるのですが、実はキャンバスを何度か白地の紙のように見えるようにコーティングしてから絵が描かれてあります。
この画に決め、コンポーをしていただく際に画廊の店主に「この画を描いた人は年は幾つ位の男性？女性？バンコクの方？etc・・・」と右下にある金色の細～いタッチで描かれていたサインを指を差しながら伺ったところ、
「バンコク在中の40歳半ばの男性の作品で、なんとなんと私の満○歳の誕生日に完成！」した画だった。
思わず鳥肌がたってしまった！
一緒にその場に居た母も「ええっ！」とビックリ！
だって私の誕生日は勿論、私の事をこの画廊のおじさんは知るはずも無く、母も私もこの場で私の誕生日他そんな事一言も話していないし・・・。
なんと言う運命的な出会い！なのだろう・・・。
この画は幕張教室のレッスンを行うお部屋の壁に飾ってあります。
