タイ南部地方のお料理なので（南部地方のお料理＝マレー、インドの影響を受けている。）スパイスを楽しむお料理になります。
なので、ゲーン・キャオワーン（グリーンカレー）のようにハーブ類（スイートバジル、こぶ蜜柑の葉）が入りません。こぶ蜜柑の香りが苦手な方はこちらのカレーがインドカレーにより近いので食べやすいかもしれません。
ゲーン・カリーにはタレ（写真右）が付き、お好みの量をかけて頂きます。
